Last week, we received a very special visitor at Piola Bags: a group of students from Virginia, United States, who were on a study trip focused on businesses with a social and environmental purpose in Latin America.
During their visit to our facilities, we shared with them the story of how Piola Bags was born, a venture that emerged with the idea of doing things differently: with design, commitment, and impact. We told them how Piola Bags was born out of necessity. The need to create functional products with their own style, manufactured locally, ethically, responsibly, and sustainably. What began as an idea is now a company with identity, purpose, and a community that supports it.
We also address our approach to sustainability, which goes far beyond the materials we use. We talk about the circular economy, responsible production, minimizing waste, and the constant challenge of doing business without leaving a negative footprint.
It was a privilege for us to open our doors to this curious, respectful, and motivated group. We believe that the exchange of ideas between different cultures and realities is always enriching and inspires us to move forward with even greater strength.
We thank the students and teachers for their visit and their genuine interest in what we do.
